Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa's Daughter Test Positive For Coronavirus As The Governor And His Wife Go Into Isolation

The Governor of Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his wife Edith Okowa have gone into self isolation due to one of their daughters who has recently tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.

Governor Okowa disclosed this news on his Instagram page on Friday June 26. Other news agencies have also attested to the news.

This is what the governor wrote on his Instagram page:

"Earlier today, Edith and I received the news that one of our daughters has tested positive for #COVID19. Hence, on-line with the laid down procedures, we are both going into isolation for the next 14-days.

We will continue to keep you all updated."

This news comes hours after the death of former Oyo state governor's (Ajimobi) death. Ajimobi died of the novel COVID-19. Also Abba Kyari who was President Buhari's Chief of Staff died of the COVID-19.

Delta State currently has 715 confirmed cases of COVID-19
