Veteran Nollywood actress, Stella Damasus took to her Instagram page to gush over her daughter Angelica as she graduated from high school yesterday June 25. In her Instagram post she also said that Angelica graduated as her school's class valedictorian and she has been awarded a scholarship by Columbia University which is a private Ivy League research university in New York City.  Her Instagram post reads: "My beautiful daughter @angelicatooni graduated high school today. American Singer Justin Bieber has filed a defamation lawsuit worth $20million against two women who went on social media to accuse him of sexual assault. In the $20million defamation lawsuit Bieber filed against the two Jane Does which Twitter handles are @ItsnotKadi and @danielleglvn, his lawyers are saying that the accusations against him are "factually impossible, and disproven both by indisputable documentary evidence and the individuals' own admissions." The lawsuit claims that the some "fraudulently schemed to seek attention and fame by maliciously posting despicable, blatantly false, fabricated, defamatory accusations that Justin Bieber engaged in sexual assault." The Governor of Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his wife Edith Okowa have gone into self isolation due to one of their daughters who has recently tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. Governor Okowa disclosed this news on his Instagram page on Friday June 26. Other news agencies have also attested to the news. This is what the governor wrote on his Instagram page: "Earlier today, Edith and I received the news that one of our daughters has tested positive for #COVID19. Hence, on-line with the laid down procedures, we are both going into isolation for the next 14-days. We will continue to keep you all updated." The lawsuit by US President Donald Trump filed to stop the publication of tell-all book by John Bolton, who was Trump's third national security adviser has been rejected by the court. It was struck out by a federal judge. Botlon was national security adviser for President Trump between April 2018 and September 2019, when he resigned but Trump claims he fired Bolton. Tray Savage who was signed to Chief Keef's record label died on Friday June 19. He died at aged 26. His death has been confirmed by TMZ and Billboard. According TMZ who were the first to break the news, Tray (born Kentray Young) was shot as he was driving around South Side in California. It was when he was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Canter that he was pronounced dead by Doctors there. Due to his death his family, friends and record label crew have been thrown into mourning. The 6 year old daughter of George Floyd, Gianna Floyd, has become a Disney shareholder all thanks to Barbra Streisand. The news broke on Saturday in which Gianna thanked the singer for the gift in a post she made on her Instagram page where she featured slideshows of pictures displaying the letter and the shares certificate she received in the mail. The singer also sent Gianna two of her studio albums "Color Me Barbra" and "My Name Is Barbra". Beyoncé has written an open letter to Kentucky’s Attorney General Daniel Cameron, telling him to use his power to bring criminal charges against the officers who shot and killed Breonna Taylor in her home. In her open letter she wants swift justice for Breonna Taylor. The victim, Breonna who is a 26 year old African-American emergency medical technician, was shot dead officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department on exactly March 13, 2020. On March 13, 2020 three officers that were conducting a no-knock search warrant in Louisville, Kentucky entered Breonna's apartment. In the process gunfire was exchanged between the officers and Breonna's boyfriend Kenneth Walker who claims he believed that the officers were Intruders. The shooting of the 20 year old took place near his home in Shepherd's Bush, West London, UK. Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki, has reacted to the decision of the APC to disqualify him from participating in the party's governorship primaries slated for June 22, 2020.   The chairman of the screening committee, Prof. Jonathan Ayuba, today announced that Obaseki and two others did not meet the requirement set by the APC to participate in the primaries.   Reacting to the development, Obaseki in a statement released by his spokesman, Crusoe Osagie, said he had initially mentioned that going by the manner in which activities leading to the primaries were being held, there was no way he would get a fair assessment in the run-up to the nomination of candidates to fly the flag of the party in the forthcoming Edo gubernatorial election.   He said it is unfortunate that this “open show of shame, illegality, and travesty of justice is the brand of democracy which Comrade Oshiomhole has reduced the APC to”.    The gove...
